Dr. V. S. Natarajan Geriatric Foundation is the only institution in the region dedicated to building a comprehensive and sustainable socio-medical ecosystem for the well-being of the elderly. With a strong focus on community engagement and leadership, we aim to create self-sustaining, hyperlocal networks that provide holistic support for seniors, ensuring their health, dignity, and well-being.
The foundation carries forward over 40 years of dedicated work by Padma Shri Awardee Dr. V. S. Natarajan, widely regarded as the Father of Geriatrics in India. His unwavering passion for elder care has transformed countless lives, and through this foundation, we continue his legacy of compassion, innovation, and excellence in geriatric care.

Dr. V. S. Natarajan
Padma Shri Dr. Vallalarpuram Sennimalai Natarajan affectionately called as “Dr.VSN” is a renowned Geriatric Physician, Educationist, Author and a Social Worker. He is recognized as the Father of Geriatric Medicine in India as he introduced and popularized the discipline in the country.

Justice S. Rajeswaran
Justice S. Rajeswaran is a distinguished legal luminary and former judge of the Madras High Court. Beyond his tenure on the bench, he is widely respected for his contributions to legal education and his commitment to upholding ethical practices in the judiciary.
Dr. Sheila Sekar
Dr. Sheila Sekar has over 20 years of experience as a Medical Officer and Anesthesiologist with the Corporation of Chennai. She currently practices as a General Physician, Geriatrician, and Diabetologist at The Clinik, Chennai. Dedicated to elder care, she also provides house visits for elderly and disabled patients.
Dr. B. Harishankar
Dr. B. Harishankar began his medical career as a practicing intern at Rotary Hospital (MM Nagar). He now serves as a Geriatric Physician at his clinics in Keelkatalai and Nanganallur. Since 2011, he has been a Panel Doctor in Padmashri Dr. V. S. Natarajan’s House Call Project. Committed to elder care, he also provides home visits for palliative care of elderly and bedridden patients.
Mr. S. Murugaiyan
“Mr. S. Murugaiyan retired as Special Chief Engineer from the Public Works Department in 1997 after over 30 years of service. Since then, he has been actively involved in social service, dedicating his time to various causes and community welfare.”
